【Abstract】 The fibrogenic effect of pure corundum and corundum added with 5% quartz on the rat lung has been investigated.Both rat groups dosing with 50mg,Of respective intratracheally dusts were killed at intervals of 1,3,6 and 12 months after administration.The results showed that the wet weight,dry weight coltagen con- tent and weight of hilar lymph node of rat lung were much increased in the mixed dust group than that in the corundum and control group; some sorts of pathological changes of the lungs and hilar lymph nodes were also observed.In the late stage of experiment,cellular lymph nodes with some confluent ones were found, and small amount of collagen fibres was shown inside the nodules.In those of the corundum dust group,dust foci in the lung tissue and in reticular fibrosis were shown. It suggested that trace amount of quartz might reinfores the fibrogenic effect of corun- dum on the rat lung.更多还原
