【Abstract】 The present paper gives the description of a new species of Sinopotamon harbouring metacercariaeof lung fluke from the Wuyishan Nature Reserve of Fujian Province.Type Specimens are kept in the Institute of Parasitic Diseases,Fujian Province. Sinopotamon wuyiensis Li,sp.nov. The characters of this new species are as follows:Carapace slightly convex and segments distinct.The anterolateral border serratorily crenulat- ed.Male abdomen rectangular.Carapace of male abdomen with a pair of genital pores which are similar to those of the female.Distal segment of first pleopod directed mesad.Penultimate segment 3.2 times the length as the distal segment.
