【Abstract】 Kecently,Patel’s advocated the method of “electrocoagulation of the vidian nervevia the nasal pasage.” Since 1983,62 cases of allergic rhinitis were treated by suchmethod in our department.Fifty cases have been followed up over one year,72%were symptom free,20% improved,and 8% ineffective.Three patients suffered fromsever bleeding due to sphenopalatine artery injury controled by ligation of themaxillary internal artery or postnasal pack.The operative procedures,precautionsand treatment of the complications are discussed.We suggest that this kind ofoperation could be popularized in all the clinics.更多还原
