【Abstract】 The features of rock magnetism in the Mt. Namjagbarwa region are as follows;1.The magnetization of hornblende gneiss is strong; next to hornblende gneiss is migmatized plagioclase-gneissetc.; the biotite-plagioc-lase granite is the weakest,2.The magnetization of gneiss would reduce when they were migma-tizated.Measured results or 12 or:entated samples indicated that:Average position of paleomagnetic pole was 205. 0°E, 55.1°N and the paleolatitude was abont 15°N.According to the Precambrian polar andering curve of India,the age of rock in the Mt.
