【Abstract】 Refractive dispersion curves are measured for plagloclases of different occurrences. The major results are as follows. (1) No correlation has been noticed between the characteristics of refractive dispersion curve of plagloclase and its composition. Parallel curves were obtained for plagloclases which are similar in age and crystallized in similar geologic environments but differ from each other in An content by as much as 20.(2) Plagioclases of different ages exhibit distinct curves of their own.
