【Abstract】 Due to special behaviour of boron in steel and its mechanism of increasing the hardenability are far different from other alloying elements, the hardenability curve and hardenability band of boron steels possess a series of characteristics. These characteristics are greatly related to the production and application of boron steel.In this paper, these characteristics were described and summarizedand the causes of these characteristics produced were explained metallurgically. The suggestions on stabilizing the hardenability and on the hardenability characteristics of boron steels sufficiently applied in production were also proposed.更多还原
