【摘要】 IDC智能终端计算机网络(以下简称IDC网)是一个以宝来(Burroughs)公司大型机B 6935为结点机,B20微型机为卫星机组成的计算机网络。(图1)它实现了分布在远程地区(几十公里)内,B20微机之间的通讯。网中的计算机共享包括大型机在内的文件、外设及处理资源。并且利用大型机作为“邮电中心”为各接点的用户提供信箱、递送信函等服务,促进信息自动化,分布于各研究所的卫星机可以向中央机提交作业,作业生成的结果可以分配到网中任何一个站。更多还原

【Abstract】 IDC, a data communication network, is a satellite-structured computer network, consisting of Burroughs 6935 as central computer and B-20 microcomputers as satellites.Designed for the Shanghai Branch of Academia Sinica the network facilitates the data transmission and communication among the institutes scattered in urban and suburban districts by using leased telephone lines.Users of the system can make use of the hardware and software resources of the B 6900 computer and they can also transfer files from one computer to another.Mail service is also provided for the users.Moreover, any user at the remote terminal can submit his job to the central computer, and the result will be sent back to the user or to any station as designated.The system has proved convenient and practicable since it was put into operation a quite long times ago.更多还原
