荻(Miscanthus sacchariflorus)叶的形态解剖

【摘要】 <正> 荻为禾本科芒属多年生草本植物。它不仅是一种优良的造纸原料,而且也有净化污水、防浪固堤的作用,还是湖区人民目前生活不可缺少的燃料。随着国民经济的迅速发展,人民文化水平不断提高的需要,用纸量必然日益增加。因此利用荻作为非木材纤维造纸原料,可以弥补我国当前木材不足的困难。但是一般用荻杆造纸,而不用叶。必然与叶的结构特点有关。虽然前人耿以礼和麦塔卡尔非(Metcalfe)对叶的形态作过研究,但未提到不宜造纸的原因。为此,我们作了进一步的研究。

【Abstract】 The morphology of shoot scale and every part of a functional leaf on thedifferent possition of a plant is differrent but their Structure is alike as awhole. Shoot scale of Miscanthus sacchariflorus has the air passage but its func-tional lear and culm have none. Hence, the death of shoot scale is a limitingfactor for the respiration of mature plant. However, the arenchyma is develo-ping much better in the leaf and culm of Phragmites communis than Miscanth-us sacchariflorus. Therefore, the latter could not tolerate the water as theformer. The lamina and the abaxial epidermis of leaf sheath contain a lot of silicacells (150 silica bodies per one 100 cm2 of a leaf, occupied 15% of a entire leafarea), thus it could not be used as a material of paper making industry. Miscanthus sacchariflorus is a high photo efficiency plant (C4 plant) whichhas been identified by our observation. This discovery has not been reportedin the past work.
