【Abstract】 The characteristics of coastal water along southern Fujian has been analyzed from the seawater temperaturesalinity date during Nov. 1975 to May. 1977. The emphasis is on the time variants of surface and bottom water characteristics over the inner shelf and the outer and cross-shelf. The result show that temperature and salinity of surface and bottom increased during warm seasons in the near-shore and, decreased during cold seasons. But the further surface water is of increasing temperature and decreasing salinity during warm seasons whereas of the decreasing temperature and increasing salinity during cold seasons. The temperature of the bottom water decreases in summer after it was warmmed in spring, this indicates that there at the bottom layer around the station exists a cold outer water, which s caused from the upwelling of pacific subsurface mixing water along the shelf.更多还原
