【Abstract】 Most studies of plant roots growing in soil involve destructive sampling or involve estimates of root growth only at soil-viewing surface.The meth- od of neutron radiography presented here allowed investigation of plant roots growing in soil nondestructively.The neutron source used was the reactor of Qinghua University and the soil was put into an aluminium box with a volume of 200mm×200mm×20mm.Neutron radiographs were obtained clearly of corn roots growing in bulk soil.更多还原
