【Abstract】 Utilizing the methods of restriction endonuciease mapping with BamHI, EcoRlsnd BglII and blotting hybri dization which were carried out with ∝-and ∝-tpecific probes in 5 HbH patients in Hainan Island. The results showed that ahe gene physical maps of 4 cases were alike with the normal, but the numberof ∝-globin genes were reduced to half the normal,they were double heterozy-gotes of nondeletion genotype and ∝-thai 1 genotype ( ) . The genephysical maps of the other case was not alike with the normal, he was a doubleheterozygote of leftward deletion ∝-thai 2 and ∝-thai 1 genotype( ).It seems that the percentage of nondeletion HbH may be higher in Hainan Island it is necessary to perform more survey for further identification.更多还原
