【Abstract】 This paper describes the composition, features and major specifications of a liquid steel level monitor used in continuous casting, as well as the design and the measuring method of a nonuniform linear radioisotope source which is used together with the instrument. The instrument features a month by month compensation for the decay of the radioisotope source and a zero output while the liquid steel level is high. The measuring range is about 100mm with the repeatability being ±2% of the whole range. The pulse rate is 450-9000 pulses/s and the maximum output current is 5mA.更多还原
