三价铕激活的(Y,La)2O2S二元体系的发光
LUMINESCENCE OF Eu3+ IONS IN BINARY SYSTEM (Y1-xLax)2O2S
【摘要】 为了寻找新的荧光粉基质料材,本文研究了在阴极射线、紫外线和X射线激发下,三价铕激活的(Y,La)2O2S二元体系的发光亮度、发射光谱和发光颜色等发光特性随组成变化的规律,并研究了三价铕离子浓度对(Y0.9La0.1)2O2S体系发光性能的影响。
【Abstract】 Eu3+-activated oxysulfides of lanthanum and yttrium are good luminop-hors. In order to improve their luminescent efficiency and find a better host material for Eu3+ ions, we have investigated the cathodo-,UV photo-and roentgeno-luminescent properties of Eu3+ -doped ( Y1-xLax)2O2S, i. e. their luminescence brightness, emission spectra, luminous chromaticity vs. their compositions. Samples of the system (Y1-xLax)2O2S: Eu3+ were synthesized by the high-temperature sulfurdization of the corresponding rare earth oxides with a compositional alternation interval △x= 0.1. The cathodo-, UV photo- and roentgeno- luminescent emission spectra of samples of this system are similar. They all consist of a series of sharp emission lines,originating from 5D0-7FJ and 5D1-7FJ transitions of Eu3+ ions.The emission intensity of 5D0-7FJ transitions are much stronger than that of 5D1-7FJ transitions. The strongest emission line is 5D0-7F2, peaking at 627. 5nm. When the intensity of 5D0-7F2 emission and the luminescence brightness of samples were plotted against their compositions,two similar valley-shaped curves with a minimum at x= 0.8 were obtained.But the variation amplitude of the relative brightness with composition was not the same under different excitation conditions. Within a wide composition range (0≤x≤0.7) the chromaticity coordinates of the phosphors remain unchanged. Only as in the composition range x≥0.7, the values of chromaticity coordinates change obviously. The decay time of these phosphors is about 0.6-0.8ms.The influence of europium concentration on the luminescent properties of (Y0.9La0 1)2O2S:Eu has been studied too. The europium-concentration dependence of the luminescence brighness of (Y0.8La0.1 )2O2S:Eu under Cathode ray and x-ray excitation are practically the same. That of UV photolumines-cence brightness is quite different from the two former cases. The optimum concentration of europium for the cathodo- and roentgeno-luminescence is about 0.04 mole. But the europium concentration markedly influenced the chromaticity coordinates of(Y0 9La0 1)2O2S:Eu. As the Eu-concentration increased from 0.001 to 0.04 mole, the emission color of the phosphors changed from yellow through orange to red.
