This paper makes a preliminary analysis of data collected by the FSQ float water-tube tiltmeter which has been working at the Chuxiong Station since 1983. The sensitivity and stability of the instrument are tested and the noise-producing factors priliminarily recongized. It has been verified that the foundation conditions of the Chuxiong Station basically satisfy the requirements for the observation using that kind of instruments.
