【Abstract】 In this paper two new species of Tabanus from southern Anhui are described. The specimens are deposited in the Institute of Microbiology & Epidemiology, Academy of Military Medical Sciences.Tabanus taipingensis sp.nov. (fig. 1)This species resembles T. chekiangensis Ouchi, but is distinguishable from the latter by the broader frons, the narrower flagellum of antenna, the pale scutellum, and the tibiae with its basal two-thirds yellowish-white.Holotype ♀ and paratypes 2♀♀, Taiping County (30.5°N, 117.5°E), Anhui Prov-ince, 2 July, 1983 by Xu Kong-man.Tabanus huangshanensis sp. nov. (fig. 2)This species resembles T. oliviventris Xu, but scutellum of the former grayish-white and covered with white and yellow hairs, whereas that of the latter grayish-black and covered with black and pale yellow hairs; and in the former, most of terga Ⅰ-Ⅱ of abdomen black and most of terga Ⅲ-Ⅵ of abdomen grayish-yellow, whereas in the latter, dorsum of abdomen yellow green, without any markings.Holotype ♀, Ciguangge (30.2°N, 117.5°E), Huangshan, Anhui Province, 680m, 18 June, 1983 by Wu Fu-lin.更多还原
