【Abstract】 Four kinds of caries were observed by SEM in natural caries and artificial caries produced in lactate buffer, acidified gelatin gel and lactate buffers containing calcium and phosphate. The enamel surface appeared more irregular in natural caries than in artificial caries. But the damage within the enamel was the same in both. We believe that the process of prism destruction occurs in three successive region: 1 interprismatic region and cross striation; 2 the center of the prisms; 3 prism sheath.更多还原
