天山乌鲁木齐河源1号冰川雷达测厚
Radar Measuring Ice Thickness of No. 1 Glacier at the Source of Urumqi River, Tianshan
【摘要】 <正>一、引言 引进雷达作为探测极地冰盖和山地冰川的装置,是冰川学研究的主要技术进展之一。从Waite,A.H.和S.J.Schmidt(1962)以及S.Evans(1963)应用这种技术探测南极和格陵兰冰盖厚度以来,已有二十多年的历史。雷达法较之以前使用的地震法与重力法测定冰川厚度,具有极大的方便性,精度高,速度快,既可以提供单点的测量,又能获得连续的冰床剖面。关于雷达法测定冷性极地冰盖的厚度,G.de Q.Robin等(1969,1975)
【Abstract】 A high-resolution radar operating at a frequency of 300 MHZ has been developed for studies of glaciers in the western part of China. The characteristics of some contemporary timedomain radars in the world are summarized in Table 1 for comparison. Preliminary tests on radar of Type B l have been conducted on the No. 1 Glacier at the source of Urumqi River, Tianshan.An isopach map (Fig. 4) and a contour map of bedrock topography (Fig.9) were obtained from two longitudinal and 14 transversal sections with totally 488 measuring points in an area of 1.84 km2. The radar data agreed with hot water drilling bore-hole measurements with error within +4m. Preliminary interpretation of measuring results has been discussed.
