【Abstract】 35 male rats,weighing 170-210g,were divided into three groups:(1)The experimental group(rats given orally a daily Qi-Xue injection 10ml/kg body weight+cortisone acetate 50mg/kg body weight for 6-8 days). (2)The cortisone group(cortisone acetate 50mg/kg body weight for 6 days).(3)The control group(normal saline for 8 days).Stereometrical analysis of ultrastructural changes of the hepatic parcnchymal cell was made with electron microscopy to study the protective effect of Qi-Xue injection on cortisone-induced liver damage. In the cortisone group,the average mitochondrial volume of parenchymal cell increased from 0.71μm~3 to 2.10μm~3(P<0.001)and the mitochondrial number per cell decreased to 43.1% that of the control group. In the experimental group,the average mitochondrial volume was 1.37μm~3.and the number of mitochondria per cell rose to 61.3% that of the control group(P<0.01).The ratio between surface area and volume of mitochondria of the control group was 6.58,it reduced to 4.55 in the cortisone group and rose to 5.59 in the experimental group.The volume fractions of mitochondria,rough endoplastic reticulum,peroxisome and lysosome of rats in the control group were 27.50%.17.78%.2.22% and 0.62% respectively.In cortisone group, the number and the volume fractions of rough endoplastic reticulum and peroxisome reduced,while the number of lysosome increased.The total volume of rough endoplastic reticulum in the experimental group increased by 44.4% that of the cortisone group(P<0.01).Through these experimems,it is found that Qi- Xue injection has protective effect on cortisone-induced rat liver damage.更多还原
