【Abstract】 The epidemiology of liver cancer among immigrants in Niclieng district Nanhuicounty Shanghai was studied. The population of this district consists mainly of two parts: one from district withhigh incidence of liver, such as Qitong county of Jiangsu province, and the other fromdistricts with low incidence of liver cnacer. 1972～1976 standardized mortality of livercancer of Nicheng district was similar to that of Qitong county (46/10~5) and was signifi-cantly higher than that of Nanhui county (23/10~5). There was no significant difference between the liver cancer mortality in immigrantsfrom high incidence district and those from low incidence district. The standardized morta-lity rate of lung, stomach and esophagus cancer showed no significant difference betweendifferent immigrant groups. This suggests that environmental factor may be the key factorin the pathogenesis of liver cancer.更多还原
