【Abstract】 A feeding trial was carried out to determine the effects of sulfurcontaining amino acid (SCAA) levels in the ration on quality and output of wool in Angora rabbits in China. The trial included 96 adult rabbits, evenly divided into two groups, with one group as the control. The rabbits in group 1 were fed a 0.26% SCAA ration, while those in group 2 a 0.52% SCAA ration. The trial proper lasted 150 days.As SCAA content in ration was raised from 0.26% to 0.52%, the average output of wool increased by 38.5% (P<0.01), the high quality wool by 19.92% (P<0.01), while poor quality wool decreased by 5.1% (P<0.05%) . As a result, economic effect of the wool increased by 31—38.9% (P<0.01) . It follows that addition of SCAA to the ration may be a practical way to increase wool quality and yield in Angora rabbits in China.更多还原
