铝的电化学溶解及其抑制
ELECTROCHEMICAL DISSOLUTION OF ALUMINIUM IN CRYOLITE-ALUMINA MELTS AND ITS CONTROL
【摘要】 在实验室内研究了铝的电化学溶解问题。经测定,铝在冰晶石—氧化铝溶液中的电化学溶解,可用外加的极化电压来抑制,当d_阴=0.28A/cm~2时,电化学溶解电流为零。
【Abstract】 The electrochemical dissolution of aluminium in cryolite-alumina melts was studiedunder the polarization and non-polarization conditions.As the polarization currentincreased,the electrochemical current decreased,then it increased to a maximum,after-wards it decreased abruptly.It became zero when the cathodic current density was0.28 A/cm~2.Therefore it is possible to control the electrochemical dissolution of alu-minium by applying polarization current at a suitable voltage.The insulation of the crucible wall had its influence on the electrochemical cur-rent.It is explained with the theory of“self closed circuit”.Only when the electroche-mical current produced is wholly passing through the external circuit,the understandingof the nature of the electrochemical current is made possible.The electrolytic action at low current densities was carefully studied.When theanodie current density was 0.09 A/cm~2,the gas bubbles began to liberate from the car-bon anode with a frequency of 1.2 per 10 seconds.
