【Abstract】 This paper presents the pathological changes of 7 autopsy cases in hypokalemic flabbiness disease. The pathological changes mainly involved the kidneys, myocardium and peripheral nerves etc. Large vacuolar degeneration (hydropic degeneration) of the epithelium of the renal tubules were ascribed to hypokalemic nephropathy; Slight degree of fatty degeneration of the tubular epithelium in some cases may be attributed to the damage caused by intoxication. Interstitial myocarditis (hypokalemic myocarditis) of degrees was the most common cause of death in this disease. In several cases there was demyelination of the peripheral nerves.The mechanism of the above-mentioned lesions caused by the toxic substances of gossypol etc. In raw cotton seed oil, and the relation between burning sensation disease and hypokalemic flabbiness disease are preliminarily analyzed and discussed.更多还原
