【Abstract】 From Jan 1978 to Aug 1981,503 women received megestrol silicone vaginal ring for contraception.Each ring can last for one year and can release low dosage of megestrol in a relatively constant rate.This is a simple contraceptive method with minimal local irritation and least systemic effect.The corrected pregnancy rate calculated by life table method at the end of 12 months was 6.0 per 100 women year.The main side effect was break through bleeding,the incidence of which was highest at the first menstrual cycle (22.8%),and then gradually declined to 4.7% at the 12th menstrual cycle.更多还原
