【Abstract】 Sargentodoxa cuneata (Oliv.) Rehd. et Wils. is traditional Chinese HUO XUE HUA YU (活血化於) drug meaning medicine for improving circulation. In our experiments, the effecta of Sargentodoxa cuneata water soluble extract on precardial S-T segment elevation and myocardial infarot size (N-BT evaluation) were studied in 24 close-chest coronary artery occluded rabbits. The effect of Sargentodoxa cuneata water soluble extract on lactic acid concentration in heart was measured in 42 (11 for normal, 31 for coronary artery occluded) rabbits.By using a rabbit LAD-occluded model, Sargentodoxa cuneata water soluble extract was found to be effective in reducing the S-T segment elevation and diminishing the ultimate infarct size.In the same myooardial infaroted model, it was found that the lactic acid concentration in the myocardium of control-infarcted rabbits increased markedly, whereas those treated rabbits showed barely similar values to the controls.更多还原
