【摘要】 <正> T. Otsu and S. Kubota had studied the polymerization of acrylonitrile (AN) and other vinyl monomers cataylzed by titanocene dichloride (Cp2TiCl2) in the presence of dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) without light, and proposed a polymerization mechanism involving a π- σ rearrangement of Cp2TiCl2, and complex formation from Cp2TiCl2 with DMSO, and then AN insertion into the Ti—C σ bond.
