【Abstract】 The fundamental characteristics of storm surges generated by Typhoon No. 8114 are analized in this paper. Based on the statistics of the frequency of the occurrence of surges, the reappearance of highest water on the Wusong harbour is about 300 years. The variations of storm surges are caused by winds of divergence and curl in the range of Typhoon. It is demonstrated that observed tidal variations are acted by the shallow-water and the frictional effect of the tidal on the surge.更多还原
