【Abstract】 A method for the detection of organoehlorine pesticides and polychlorinated bi-phenyls (PCBs) in sediments is described. The method involves quantitative extraction of sediments with acetone-petroleum ether (30-50℃ fraction). The pesticide and PCBs residues are followed by cleanup with an anhydrous sodium sulfate-florisil-alu-mina-silica column chromatography, and elution with petroleum ether and 30% mixtures of ethyl ether-petroleum ether. Compounds are quantitated by gas chromatography using a 63Ni electron-capture detector.This study presents a sensitive and reliable procedure for the determination of BHC, DDT and PCBs in sediments.更多还原
