【Abstract】 It is well known that the value of the uplitf pressure on the base of a gravity dam may have an important effect on the safety and the construction cost of the dam. In this paper, some useful methods prevalent in China, America and the Sovlet Union are presented for the calculation of the uplift press- ure on the base of a gravity dam without draius and grout curtain. Combining with some practical data, the author makes a preliminary analysis and on the base of above discussion a few suggestions are pro- posed.更多还原
