【Abstract】 This paper is based upon the traditional Chinese medical theory that the condition of the meridain would reflect relatively correct for the heal- th of people. 60 aged people of equal sex over the age of 60 and 60 normal healthy adults about 30 year old served as control were examin- ed for their meridians. The measuring apparatus is selfmadc with constant pressure electrode. The standard va- lue for normal merdian examinationl is 25μA, which was taken in 360 healthy adults amd students in the past ten years. The results of the measurements is expressed as the following: 1、The mean meridinal measure- ment of 30 males over the age of 60 is 14 μA. It is shown statistically with mark difference as 54% of the normal value, P〉0.01. 2, The mean meridinal measure- ment of 30 females over the age of 60 is 16 μA, which is 64% of the nomal value, P〉0.01. 3, The mean meridinal measurement of 30 adult male as control is 26.3 μA, which is 104% of the normal value. 4, The mean meridinal measure- ment of 30 adult female as control is 19 μA, whieh is 76% of the normal value. There is no marked difference of the adult control in compare with the normal value. 5, Either Yin or Yang is low in the aged male group, while Yin is low and the Yang is relatively insufficient in the aged female group. Both Yin and Yang are more or less balanced in adult male and female control group. Through the above observation it shows that the electrical measure- ment of the meridian is closely rela- ted with the age, sex, and the state of health of people. It is possible that this would be served as a good index in estimating the condi- tion of the internal organs, blood and qi.更多还原
