【Abstract】 The first paper reviews the new progress made in studies on plate tectonics in recent years at home and abroad.It points out that the study on terrain tectonics has aroused great interest in the circle of earth sciences though its history is not long;and it covers rich contents for research,including geomorphology, kinematics and dynamics of terrain.The terrain conception is the recent development of plate tectonics theory in the 1980’s,and has profound effect on the research in earthquake tectonics,earthquake prediction,earth- quake engineering as well as in the theory of the earthquake.更多还原
