【Abstract】 An exergy analysis for solar collector and Ranking cycle of solar power units is presented, and a method for determining the optimum operating temperature and optimum temperature difference between inlet and outlet of collector (corresponding to optimum flowrate) is reported. The "Exergy parameter" is suggested as a criterion for selecting the collector and optimizing the solar power system.A design example of the system for a 2kw solar energy unit: is given and the analysis described above is demonstrated correct.
