【Abstract】 A new theory of imaginary lattice planes is proposed to analyse the tra-nsmitted Kossel patterns. It has two advantages: 1) the semi-apex angle ofthe absorption cone of the corresponding imaginary lattice planes φ is equalto the half-angle of the lens-shaped intersection of two conics r; 2) the dir-ection of the imaginary lattice planes is also equal to the direction of thelens-shaped intersection of two conics.
