【Abstract】 This paper reports two new species of Tabanus collected from Guangxi, China. Their names refer to the geological characteristic (calcarious stone) of the locality of collection. The types are deposited in the Academy of Military Medical Sciences, whilst a paratype of Tabanus calcarirs is deposited in the Institute of Parasitic Disease Control of Guangxi.Tabanus cementus,sp. nov. (fig. 1)This species resembles Tabanus orientis Walker, 1848, but wing yellow; abdominal tergi-tes without yellow-haired median triangular spots, tergite Ⅱ with a large black mark, tergite Ⅲ black, with yellow posterior border.Holotytpe♀, collected from Longgang Natural Reserve, Longzhou County, Guangxi, on23 May, 1982.Tabanus calcarius, sp. nov. (fig, 2)This species expresses an intimate relation to T. cementus, but there is no dorsal process on the antennal flagellum.
