【Abstract】 The residue of acid-leachig and filter-pressing treatment of ascharite has been used for melting SiO2-Al2O3-CaO-MgO glasses with high magnesia content.Various types of low-alkali boro-contaming glasses have thus been developed for the manufacture of glass insulators, industrial glass pipelines, glass combustion tubes, ignition tubes as well as glass fibers.Some technical properties of the glasses are determined and compared with those of commercial ones.更多还原
