【Abstract】 Investigation of Epstein Barr virus specific DNase (EBV-DNase) was performed in 56 specimens from Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma, 20 cases from non-cancer nasopharygeal tissues, and two cases NPC metastatic lymphnodes.Different levels of EBV-DNase activities were observed in 36 of the 56 NPC tissues (64.3%), which could be partially neutralized by 4 different EBV positive sera, but could not be unetralized by EBV negative serum and rabbit anti-HSV-1 serum. Only 1 of the 20 non-cancer nasopharyngeal tissues showed low level EBV-DNase activities.EBV-DNase, EBV-DNA polymerase were detected in the tissues of NPC metastatic lymphnode.Generally, The EBV-DNase activities in most of the NPC tissues were less than 200DPM, but in one case was as high as 3792 DPM.Similarly, In most cases the EBV-DNase consisted 10-40% of the total DNase activity, but in some cases it consisted more than 90%. These may be related to the heterogenicity of the NPC tissues.The significance of the existanec of EBV-DNase in NPC tissue was disscused.更多还原
