果蝇伴性隐性致死试验在致突变物、致癌物筛选方面的应用

【Abstract】 A number of test systems using drosophila melanogaster for detection of mutagens andpotential carcinogens in human environment have been developed. The important advantagein the use of this fly is its short generation time(10-12 days), the relatively simple facilityneeded for its breeding and the readiness in choice of manner of exposure, i. e. satisfac-tory routes of administration. The additional advantage apperas to be its capacity of metabo-lising drugs comparable to those found in mammals. In this paper we are going to introduce the genetic basis aPd tbe practical laboratorytechnics of the most useful SLRL test. Our investigations were carried out with the knownmutagen MMS, using DMSO as the negative control. The SLRL frequencies for MMSwere 5.2%in 1.0 mM and 14.1% in 2.0mM respectively. There is no indication of arecessive lethal in the negative controls after having tested up to 596 chromosomes. These results along with the available data in recent literatures suggest that the SLRLtest is among the generally accepted simple and objective screening systems helpful to thepromotion of the study on chemical mutagens and potential carcinogens.
