【Abstract】 According to the principle of a JS-P Type 1 which is an instrument for the determination of acupuncture points in human medicine, an apparatus was designed for measuring the acupuncture points of domestic animals. With this device a study for the measurement ofskin impedance of 15 common acupuncture points in 10 experimental sheep was conducted. A series of curves which were relatively audiovisual and imaginary were then depicted automatically for the comparison of the acupuncture point impedance of differant sheep. Results showed that on the skin of some point areas of healthy sheepthere were sensitive points which had rather low impedance to low frequency pulsating current. The difference between the values of the sensitive low resistance point and the high impedance of the adjacent control point was statistically significant.These sensitive points could be picked out repeatedly. The difference of the lowest values of impedance of the same named points of both sides was not dominant and they might be Considered as being symmetrical. Therefore, the low impedance sensitive points might possibly be a reflexion of electrical characteristics of acupuncture points. The authors suggest that this method could be used to investigate the physiology of acupuncture points in cattle.更多还原
