【Abstract】 A study of 40 gastric carcinoma patients who had survived more than 5 years after gastrectomy showed that the size,location and gross type of the tumor seemed to have no definite influence on the prognosis,but that the histologic type,peri-gastric lymphnode metastasis,depth of tumor infiltration,presence of lymphatic thrombosis and the type of operative procedure were more closely related to prognosis.The deg- ree of reactive lymphocytic and plasmocytic infiltration in the stroma was specially important in that the 5-year survival rate in such cases was 62.5%.In these cases the tumor tended to be circumscribed and usually with central ulceration.更多还原
