【Abstract】 With a pulse current and a 8024A digital multmeter, measurement of impedance of series of points along the route of meridians has been performed in adults. All results were treated statistically. Findings obtained from 58 points on 9 meridians are summarized as follows:1. The impedance of major acupuncture points is lower than that of the control points located at their lateral and medial side. However, some acupuncture points are not the lower impedance points.2. The total average impedance value of acupuncture points is lower than that of non-acupuncture points.3. Only the route of some meridians, such as the heart, the stomach and the gall bladder, along which the impedance appears lower.4. Some routes of meridian and acupuncture points show individual variation of electrical property. There is no difference in the average impedance value between males and females.The functional significance of electrical character on acupuncture points and meridians remains to be investigated.更多还原
