三种Kodak天文干版氢敏化的初步研究

【摘要】 本文报道了三种 Kodak 天文干版的氢敏化实验结果,证实了氢作为敏化剂,对三种底片都是有效的。在灰雾 D0≤0.20的条件下,Kodak 103aO片,灵敏度增益在 3以上;ⅢaJ片的灵敏度达到5以上。对ⅡaO片的实验表明,其低照度互易律失效的水平也大为降低。 对103aO和ⅢaJ片敏化后的保存性实验是令人满意的,敏化后在普通冰箱(3—5℃)情况下,103aO片可保存一个月以上,Ⅲal也可保存近半月。

【Abstract】 Using a China-made mark DMD-450 multilayer coating machine, the researchers of Beijing Observatory cooperated with their colleaqu-es of the Institute of Photographic Chemistry made a series of experiments of hypersensitization by hydrogen soaking for three types of Kodak plates (103aO, II IaJ and IIaO) and obtained distinct gain effect. Some preliminary results are introduced in this paper.At fdrst, the plates were put into the vacuum chamber and then the pressure in which was pumped to 5 × 10-5 torr. Hydrogen gas was filled into the chamber until the pressure inside reaches 60-80 torr. lower than one atm. After a preselected time interval of hydrogen soaking, the chamber was filled with nitrogen gas to one atm. and then take these plates out for test.For Kodak 103aO plates, the gain of sensitivity reaches above 3 under the condition of back fog D0 ≤ 0.2 (see fig. 1) ; For IllaJ plates, it reaches above 5 (see fig. 3). If the back fog is allowed to be some denser, the gain of sensitivity may be further increased. For IIaO plates, only a group of experiments of hypersensitization by hydrogen soaking within several especially selected time intervals were done, for the back fog of these plates has already been higher than 0.2. Fig. 4 shows the curve of reciprocity law failure when D = Do + 0.6, it is clear that under low illuminance condition, the level of reciprocity law failure is more reduced.The experiments of maintenance of post- hypersensitization were done simultaneously for 103aO and IllaJ plates, it shows that under 3-5℃ condition as ordinary icebox, 103aO plates of post-hypersensitization may maintain the obtained gain of sensitivity more than one month (see fig. 2), but the IIIaJ plates may maintain the gain of sensitivity only about half a month.
