【Abstract】 The purpose of this paper is to describe and evaluate our experiences in 50 selec-tive catheter vertebral angiography via the femoral artery.The age of the patients was from 11 to 60 years.14 of them were above 40 years.Satisfactory vertebral angiograms were obtained with a selective catheter technic in45 out of 50 patients.The rate of technical success of vertebral angiography in ourgroup was 90%.Since 1982,we have used the head hunter catheter for vertebral ang-iography via femoral artery.We have performed 22 cases with no failure.Detail techniques of catheter vertebral angiography via femoral artery were desc-ribed and the complications were discussed.In view of the high degree of success of selective vertebral artery catheterizationand the low incidence of complications,we may conclude that it is the best method forperforming vertebral angiography.更多还原
