【Abstract】 128 cases of various kinds of leukemia were studied with Wright’s stain and cy tochemical stains (peroxidase stain,alkaline phosphatase stain, PAS stain and nonspecific esterase stains). Acute lymphocytic, acute myelocytic, subacute myelocytic, acute promyelocytic, acute monocytic, erythroleukemia unclassified leukemia chronic myelocytic plasmacytic leukemias and multiple myeloma were recognized under Wright’s sta in. Some subtypes of acute lymphocytic, acute myelocytic, and acute monocytic leukemias were classified. Characteristics of acute lymphocytic, acute myelocytic and acute monocytic leukemias under various cytochemical stains were discussed. Three pointswere emphasized as follows:1. Wright’s stain is still the main method for the differentiation of the types of leukemia, especiatly bone marrow smears and blood smears being examined and compared at the same time.2. Although there are marked differences in different types of leukemia under cytochemical stains, there are overlapping characteristics in different cases, so the cytochemical findings are not specific for any one single case.3. For the so called "granulocytic promyelocytic leukemia" further investigation is necessary for the determination of whether it belongs to myelocytic series or monocytic series.更多还原
