【Abstract】 This paper is a review of the setting-up principles, giving a general view on the development and the applications in metal corrosion and its prevention of the chemical and electrochemical equilibrium diagrams originated and constructed by Prof. M. Pourbaix and his Collaborators. Here is the potential-PH equilibrium Diagrams of metals in aqueous solutions at ordinary temperature (25℃ ) and their applications in corrosion and its prevention.
