【Abstract】 This paper presents a method for the quantitation of conjugated bile acids in bile by thin-layer chromatography. The solvent system for separation of bile acids is chloroform:ethanol:ethyl acetate:acetic acid:water (5:7:10:2:1 v/v), The separated spots of conjugated bile acids form colour reaction with phosphomolybdate agent and quantitated by spectrophotometer.
