【Abstract】 There are contradictions in the literature regarding the antiviral action of 2’-5’oligoadenylate (2’-5’PsAa etc.). The authors have first reported the protective effectof 2’-5’P3A3 on VSV infected cells. In this article it is shown that the antiviralaction of 2’-5’P3A3 covered a wide spectrum of viruses, including RNAviruses, suchas Influenza H3N2/77, Influenza H1N1/77, ECHO11, rhino, Sindbis Sendai, and DNAviruses such as herpes simplex, suggesting the generality of the antiviral actionof 2’-5’P3A3.
