【Abstract】 The concentration of free proline followingpartial hepatectomy in rabbits has been studied.Concentration of free proline in serum and liverhomogenate was significantly increased afterpartial hepatectomy,but returned to almostpreoperative level when the liver was restored to92% of its preoperative weight.The resultsobtained from normal and sham-operation groupwere compared with those of the hepatectomizedgroup.It is evident that the significant increaseof free proline in serum after partial hepatectomyis a relatively specific change of hepatectomy.Measurement of the change of free proline inperipheral blood is probably useful in the evalua-tion of the state of regenerating liver remnantafter partial hepatectomy.更多还原
