【Abstract】 Non-Newtonian fluids may be classified as (i) inelastic fluids, fluids whose viscosity is not a constant, (ii) fluids with yield stress, (iii) fluids with elastic properties, (iv) thixotropic fluids. Some constitutive equations of the above four types of fluids have been considered. Their usefulness and conditions under which they may be used have also been discussed. Numerical values of some of the parameters occur-ing in these constitutive equations have been given.更多还原
