用规定饲料饲养单食性昆虫——三化螟

【摘要】 <正> 三化螟(Tryporyza incertulas Walker)是一种单食性昆虫,是亚洲最重要的水稻害虫之一。自六十年代起,国内外就试验用人工饲料饲养三化螟,由于这种昆虫对饲料的理化性状要求很高,直到七十年代初期还未能饲养一个完整的世代(Ouye,1971;Hormchong,et al.,1971)。1973年郑忠庆等用含有少量新鲜水稻茎和稻芽粉的半纯饲料,首先获得羽化正常的三化螟成虫,1975年又用这种饲料连续饲养了四个世代,但是因幼虫的存活率和化蛹率很低而未能继续饲养下去。以后的几年中,我们在改善饲料的物理性状和饲料成分的配比等方面做了很多试验,虽然取得了一定的进展,但尚不能大量饲养。

【Abstract】 The yellow rice borer, Tryporyza incertulas Walker, is a rigorous monophagous insect, and is one of the most serious pests of rice. Mass rearing of it on the artificial diet with rice plant or its extract did not meet success yet. In order to study its nutritional and chemical feeding requirements, three test diets, all free from rice plant and or its extracts were designed. The basal diet composed of cellulose, agar, casein, sucrose, glucose, Wesson’s salt mixture, choline chloride,β-sitosterol, corn oil, linseed oil, formaldehyde, methyl p-hydroxybenzoate, water solution vitamin B complex, 4 M KOH, tocopherol and water. . The percentages of larval survival and pupation were about 80% and 25% respectively. The male moths were vigorous, but a few females moths could mate. They deposited nonviable eggs.Despite the above-mentioned defects, the present work has its breakthrough in rearing the monophagous specialist to maturity on artificial diet.
