【摘要】 <正> 前言爪哇气步(Pheropsophus javanusDejean) 属鞘翅目步科(Carabidae)是农田中较为常见的捕食性昆虫。在水田、旱地分布都较广泛。据在武昌田间和室内饲养观察,能捕食直翅目、鳞翅目、同翅目、鞘翅目的害虫共14科24种,幼虫特别喜食蝼蛄卵,对控制害虫种群数量有一定的作用。1979-1982年,我们在湖北省江陵、黄梅、应城等县及武昌狮子山进行室内饲养观察和田间调查,现将结果整理如下。更多还原

【Abstract】 The javanese ground Beetle, Pheropsophus javanus Dejean is a common preda-tor in the fields of various crops of Hubei. Its larva larva lives in the nestof the african mole cricket, Gryllotalpa africana Palisot de Beauvois. The larvabites through the egg shells of the african mole crickets and eats up their yolks.All eggs in one nest can ba destroyed by one lavar. The adults of javanesegound beetles feed on many insects aud small animals, especially, the ortnop-terous insects and the lepidopterous larvae. The javanese ground beetles hasone generation per year in Hubei province, and overwinters as an adult in soil.lm April, the adults mate and the female lay eggs in porous soil. Each Femalebeetle lays 370-650 eggs, The egg stage lasts 8-14 days. The larva has threeinstars, which take 21-24 days in total. The pupal stage lasts 8-11 days. Theadult may live for 15 months, occasionally 2 years. The morphological charac-teristics of this beetle have been descriped in this paper.更多还原
