浙江近海存在沿岸上升流的证据
EVIDENCE FOR THE COASTAL UPWELLING OFF ZHEJIANG
【摘要】 <正> 一、引言海洋中的垂直环流过程——上升流是海水运动的特殊形式之一,也是整个海洋总环流中的一个重要环节。上升流能把海洋次表层(浅海区为近底层)冷而营养盐丰富的海水带到表层,从而对局部地区的气候、海洋生物资源、特别是海洋生产力起着举足轻重的影响。所以,近十几年来,沿岸上升流的研究愈来愈受到人们的关注。特别是七十年代以来,它已作为“沿岸上升流实验”(CUE)的课题而被列入“国际海洋考察十年”计划中。自从人们发现上升流以来,普遍认为,沿岸上升流仅仅是大洋东边界的独特现象。但近几年来,随着大洋西部上升流的相继发现,这一看法已经开始动摇。R·博吉和M·托姆克
【Abstract】 According to the data collected from the Cross-section Survey and the Special Observation of the Coastal Upwelling in the summers of 1978--1980, the existence of the coastal upwelling off Zhejiang is demonstrated from hydrography, chemistry and biology etc., and its mechanism of formation is also discussed briefly. It is shown that lower temperature, higher salinity, higher density, lower oxygen, higher nutrient salt and the appearance of biotic species of open sea are the outs tanding features of the coastal upwelling off Zhejiang. The centre of the coastal upwelling lies near Yushan Islands. The upwelling velocity estimated by using vertical displac- ement of the isophycnic is about 19 metre/day (8.4×10-4 cm/sec) It is shown that the existence of the cross flow and poleward current of the subsurface layer is important evidence of the coastal upwelling off Zhejiang, and the geography, Taiwan warm current and south--westerly seasonal wind are the important environmental condition and dynamical factors to produce the upwelling.
